Decorative Finishes – My clients have a very large entertainment room with a bar. They needed a fun and friendly place to entertain. My challenge was to transform a large empty not very interesting space feel like a cozy pub. The woodwork had a light oak finish. I glazed and antiqued the woodwork making it darker a worn. The ceiling above the bar I painted faux copper sheeting complete with faux rivets.  The larger ceiling I applied Lincrusta (textured wallcovering) and faux painted as aged copper to simulate an embossed metal ceiling. The walls and other ceilings have a smokey, very worn patina finish. The flanking walls at the bar I made faux bricks from plaster, then faux and character finished them.  What was once a large cold empty space, has become a warm, inviting and fun place to entertain though the power of paint.
